Daihatsu Diesel Mfg. Co. Ltd, announced a spare parts list price change as of April 1st, 2011.
Prices will be increased by
approximately 1% on weighted average for the engine models DL, DK and DC.
All other engine model spare part prices will remain unchanged.
As of December 2010 we have been authorized as official sales partner of Hitachi Zosen and are able to supply original quality parts from Japan, for MAN B&W and Sulzer 2-stroke main engines.
Effective January 1st, 2010 the 5% materials surcharge will no longer be shown nor calculated separately but will be included in the list total as an adjustment of the discount, for items having a discount policy. Overall, the cost will remain a the same level. Parts which do not have a discount policy, will simply not carry the 5% surcharge and will be effectively 5% cheaper.
As of June 1st, 2009, all
gaskets with part number Z565xxxxxxxx will be sold in batches of 10
pieces rather than single items.

Daihatsu Diesel Mfg. Co. Ltd, released late today that their announcement made earlier this November 2008 about prices increasing as of January 1st 2009, has been revoked. Due to the severity of the financial crisis affecting the shipping market and despite the increasing cost of raw materials, Daihatsu Diesel group has decided to withhold the price increase for the time being.

Effective December 1st, all offers submitted within December which become firm orders in January 2008 will be subject to a 5% materials surcharge on the list price. The drastically soaring costs of raw materials by more than 30%, and the securing of necessary lead time from the tightly scheduled manufacturers, are causing Daihatsu unexpectedly high procurement costs. They are working hard to restrain these costs until now, however, they are experiencing difficulties in maintaining the timely and smooth supply of spare parts to meet customers requirements

In an effort to improve production standards and as a matter of ISO procedures, Daihatsu Parts Center in Osaka, requires that the classification society of each vessel to be mentioned with each order. Kindly state the vessels class society (ABS, BV, DNV, LR, RINA, etc) along with the engine model and serial number.
